What's the hype about MCT Oil


Great question! Well, fats are an essential nutrient. We MUST have fats in order to survive. They provide our bodies with

-energy

-they help balance hormones

-they help your body absorb vitamins and minerals. 


A very popular product as of recently has been MCT Oil. MCT oil has been known to improve brain fog and provide energy. 


MCT actually stands for medium-chain-triglycerides. Medium chain triglycerides have a relatively short chain which helps them rapidly break down. This means that the effects will be much faster than eating something like salmon or grass fed beef. 


There are some really great products that you can add directly to your coffee, morning shake, etc!

As with all fats, they are much higher in calories so it is very easy to over consume. Either use a food scale or measuring cups/spoons when portioning.
